Five Bangladeshi media professionals are in the United States for a three-week International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) examining responsible journalism and the role of media in ensuring government accountability and transparency.

During their program opening in Washington, D.C. the group visited the National Press Club, the Newseum, and met with investigative journalist Charles Lewis, the founder of The Center for Public Integrity.

Representatives from the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam, spent part of their three-week International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) visit, which focused on supporting the rights of the disadvantaged, in Charleston, S.C. Last week, we welcomed nine Egyptian legal scholars and practitioners to Washington, D.C. to begin an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) focused on the U.S. legal system and how civil society protects the rights of women. Before continuing their trip in Cincinnati and New Orleans, our esteemed visitors headed to the West Coast where they’re being hosted by our friends at the San Diego Diplomacy Council

"He has been the driving force behind bringing students from the Korea-West internship program to Idaho Falls. The very successful venture has brought 10 outstanding S. Korean student/scholars to SE Idaho to work in internships ranging from Melaleuca to University of Idaho to Grow Idaho Falls…While he doesn’t often admit this, Tokuhiro has served in a quasi-parental role to the interns, finding housing, driving them to work, making sure that they have what they need."
